Book Description

From the author of Googling God, a book for discovering the work that we are meant to do.

Mike Hayes left a promising career in sports radio to discover what God wanted him to do. In sharing his journey he takes readers into career questions that have spiritual answers:

  • Who am I — really?
  • What am I here for?
  • How do I find the work I can do best?
  • What is the meaning of right usefulness?
  • Can I find happiness in my work, or is it my job to bring happiness to work?
  • How is the difference between doing and being essential to loving work?

Loving Work is at once the story of Mike Hayes's passage to a better place and a spiritual roadmap for anyone of any age to love loving work.

Mike Hayes is a co-founder of Busted Halo, a national ministry and media network for young adults, and the author of Googling God: The Religious Landscape of People in their 20s and 30s (Paulist, 2007). He has a master's degree in religious education from Fordham University and was president of the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association.

Mike is the campus minister at St. Joseph University Parish and SUNY Buffalo's South Campus as well as a retreat director for Charis Ministries, a Jesuit ministry to those in their 20s and 30s. He and his family live in Buffalo, New York.
